bs-1c-7 organic bentonite as thickener, anti-settling agent and rheological agent is widely used in the field of mixed paint, floor paint, marine paint, anti-corrosion paint, powder coating and so on.
bs-1c-7 can be added directly to the resin/solvent blend and thoroughly mixed in room temperature, the pigments and fillers are then added and dispersed with high shear or grind. the chemical activators can be methanol/h2o（95/5）, ethanol/h2o（95/5）, propylene carbonate, or acetone. the level of activator depends on the system in which organic bentonite is to be used, the typical levels are between 30 and 50% based on organic bentonite weight. the pre-gel will be good for dispersion.the amount of bs-1c-7 rheology modifier required depends upon the type oforganic system and the degree of thickening or other properties desired.addition levels are typically between 0.5%-2.0% by weight of the total system
